weather was really nice forcast was 12mph south.
when we launched we had trouble getting away from the shore as we were sheltered.
we got to the pier and had to avoid some fishing lines. luckily we did. we eventually found enough wind and found our self heading out of the bay where there was wind, we did beats and downwind surfing the waves which have a lot more speed. apart from finding a hole in the wind at the pines we moved well.
it was just a nice day to be on the water. we stayed out for 2.5 hrs but onl;y managed 8.5 miles
but it was nice. a few other lasers came out as well about 11 boats in all.
Richard had a good spell on the help and is now known as donk. after donking a bouy. so the rest of the session i was donking bouys to see how many pts i could get.
on the way back to shore the wind had dropped and we driffted toward the pier. we gave warning to the fishermen but one didnt pull in his line and we caught it around the forestay. we both went on to the bows to untangle it, we were bye the old pier lol. we did untangle it and then went ashore.
a good sessions sailing a pint and a bacon roll after.
