13th August sail with Graham

an early start as always to get to Swanage and set up the boat.

Graham had never sailed before so had to show him the basics and have some fun as well. we launched around 9am or so and sailed for an hour and a half. we went over to see the chalk cliffs after ballard and thought about going further, we didnt and turned arond,, some good reaches some good down wond legs and some good beats, with one gust almost hitting us over.

after packing up we went tot he Bankes arms beer fest. that was backed but had over 200 beers to keep them watered.

sunday we had planned to race but the forecast was very light. i didnt fancy it when i got up so went for a walk taking pics instead.

2nd sail of week 10th august 2016

with family in tow, and another early start swanage was not so sunny.
lots of little jobs to do and sort on laser. done.
we launched around 10am and sailed for an hour and a half  having lots of upwind down wind legs and some good reaches. covered the same distance as saturday 13nm  wind was good and gusty in places. Peter rigged up for trapezing but wasnt needed at all.
boat went well pleny of dark threatening clouds.  fishcake and chips after and then home

well after 6 weeks off i got to swanage early, removed the boat stands, rigged the laser and went for a sail, wind died as i rounded ballard and after 30 mins of bobbing around  i called a jetski over to tow me back into the bay as i was drifting with the tide. enjoyed the sailing i did do
after i met with Peter and we sailed on MBM,the wind had picked up and we had a good sail.
